Eating Disorder Treatment

I found this article on Cliffside Malibu:

"Your eating disorder is just a channel in which you use to vent. You use your eating disorder as a coping mechanism. It is very difficult for people to admit that they have an eating disorder. It is very important that you understand right now that you are NOT alone! There is help available so that you do not have to live this way anymore. Good treatment for eating disorders usually will consist of several treatment options rather than just one in particular. Often an intervention can be designed if you are unwilling to seek help on your own and then it is recommended that you enter long term in patient residential care so that you can learn nutritional and other ways to manage your illness.

You might need in patient treatment if out patient treatment has not worked for you in the past, if you have suffered from extreme weight loss, or if the effects of binging and purging have gotten to the point where you need to be hospitalized. In patient treatment for eating disorders in as unrestrictive as possible while still ensuring your safety. Any other psychiatric problems that you might have will also be addressed while you are in treatment. This is the very best thing that you can do for yourself."

If you think that it is time to seek help give them a call: 1-800-501-1988.
